Meet the Team

Cal

Cal was born in South Africa and spent many family holidays visiting and enjoying the magic and splendour of the African bush.  The bush ranks as her top soulful life experience.  Combining her passions of travel, adventure, the bush, and personal growth she created the Indlovu Coaching Retreat.

Cal is a Certified Master Life Coach with Martha Beck, and an International Coach Federation (ICF) Certified Coach.  She is also a student of Byron Katie’s work.

Cal spent two decades working for organisations on the ‘people’ side of transformational change programs. She is inspired by human potential and the art of transformation. She now runs her own private coaching business and supports her clients to create and navigate big changes and live with more meaning, joy, freedom, impact, and ease.

When not working in her business she enjoys being with family and friends in nature, travelling, good coffee, campfires and great conversation. Her greatest joy comes from being a mom and watching her two young adult children forge their own paths in the world.

Cal has travelled and worked around the world having lived in South Africa, Canada, USA, Europe, and the UK.

Ali

Ali grew up in Kenya where she developed her passion for the African bush.

Ali is a professional guide and has led horseback safari adventures in remote wilderness areas of Africa for over 23 years including the Kalahari in South Africa, the Okavango Delta in Botswana, the Serengeti in Tanzania and the Masai Mara in Kenya.

Ali brings a depth of knowledge, expertise, and a contagious enthusiasm for the African bush and the relationships making up this fascinating ecosystem.

Ali has travelled widely in Africa, Europe and the Middle East.

Jess

Jess grew up in South Africa loving nature and the African bush.

She completed an experiential field guide wildlife tracking program in the Okavango Delta in Botswana. A highlight of the program was camping in the open bush next to a campfire while taking rotating guard duties. The program enhanced her knowledge and understanding of the African bush and the interconnected ecosystem.

Jess is always up for an adventure: she has swum the English Channel, ran the Sydney Marathon, was selected for the Team GB u21 age group for Triathlon and has travelled widely through Africa, Asia, Europe and Canada.

She is currently studying Economics and Politics at Bristol University in the UK. She is completing her third year of university as a ‘study abroad' student in Adelaide, Australia.

If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.
